Tree Planting

Give your new trees the perfect start. The right tree, in the right place, planted with absolute precision.

The Foundation of Health

Planting a tree is a generational investment, but doing it wrong will doom a tree to a slow decline. The vast majority of landscape trees die prematurely because they are planted too deep, suffocated by burlap and wire cages, or placed in the wrong soil type.

At Timber Love & Care, we approach planting with an arborist's exactness. We evaluate your property's soil, sunlight, and spacing to select the perfect species, and we ensure the root flare is perfectly exposed to guarantee lifelong structural health.

Our Planting Process:

  • Site & Species Selection We help you choose robust, climate-appropriate trees that will thrive in your specific Hill Country micro-climate without outgrowing their space.
  • Precision Excavation A proper hole should be wide, not deep. We excavate to the exact depth of the root flare while loosening the surrounding soil to encourage lateral root growth.
  • Root Correction Nursery pots often cause roots to circle. We carefully score and correct girdling roots before they go in the ground, preventing them from strangling the tree years later.
  • Mulch & Establishment We finish with a proper "donut" (never a "volcano") of high-quality organic mulch to retain moisture and regulate soil temperature during those brutal Texas summers.

No Mud, No Mess

Notice the heavy-duty tarps in our photos? We respect your existing landscape. All excavated clay, rocks, and soil go onto a tarp—not into your grass. When we leave, the only sign we were there is a beautiful, healthy new tree.

Creative Landscaping Solutions

Sometimes the best place for a new plant is inside an old one. Instead of grinding out massive, difficult stumps along shorelines or patios, we can carve them out to create stunning, natural wooden planters for your property.
